Spoonful - 3/14

2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

When I think about what is happening in the world, this verse came to mind.  First, we need to humble ourselves; then, seek God.  We have a duty to pray.  Second, if you have anything that you feel is a sin or a distraction from doing the right thing, it must stop. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of their desire and sin, but Lot and his family were spared because of their faith, and they turned away from sin.  Third, this verse says that God will hear us and restore our land. So be encouraged no matter what the news media is saying. We still have control of our destiny.
