Proverbs 15:22 NLT
Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.

This verse tells me that we should take into consideration what the people around us have to say about what we are doing.  It also says that we should surround ourselves with more than one person to give us advice.  So, listen to what is being said.  It doesn't say to do everything they tell you; just be open to hear it.
