Psalm 4:4 NKJV
Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.

This verse sheds some light on the fact that it is ok to get angry, but is also tells us how to react to the situation. Do not respond to what made you angry right away.  Walk away and think about it before it gets you in trouble. The verse ends with “be still.” I know it's hard to walk away, let alone be quiet about it, but in the end we will all be better for our “meditated” responses.
