The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Who you have around you can affect where you are going.  The "friends" that you hold close in your life can persuade you to do things that you would normally never do.  So be true to yourself and pick your friends wisely.  You never know what hole they'll drag you down.  Sidenote, a true friend will be there for you in the good times and most importantly the bad times.
